 Program Information

The Oklahoma Successful Adulthood Program focuses on our teen
population and seeks to:
  • promote the importance of early planning for one’s future;
  • develop each individual’s innate strengths;
  • promote the concept of permanent connections;
  • ensure transition of young people ages 16-21 from state custody to self-sufficiency and successful adult living;
  • support youth by encouraging a multi disciplinary approach through training of field staff, and other appropriate adults;
  • develop teen targeted resources and community partnerships.

Oklahoma Consultation Line, Yes I Can! 1-800-397-2945

Yes I Can! (YIC) is a program supported by DHS through the John H. Chafee Independence Act of 1999 to assist young adults who have left Oklahoma DHS foster or tribal custody on or after their 18th birthday. YIC also provides services to youth who have left care after the age of 14 and before the age of 18, and exited to guardianship or adoption. The purpose of the program is to provide supportive services to compliment the young adult's efforts in their transition from care. The specialists answer a toll-free help line for youth, caseworkers, and other supportive adults who call to request program information, supportive services, resource referral, mentoring, and financial assistance when available. All help line calls are answered or returned within 48 business hours of the time the call was received.
