Who is Eligible?
Eligibility requirements for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are based on income, household size, available resources and responsibility for payment of home energy cost. Everyone who resides under the same utility service address must apply together. If you or anyone resides in your home are a Native American, you may apply for energy assistance through DHS or with your tribe, but you cannot receive assistance from both during the same Federal Fiscal Year.
To qualify for LIHEAP assistance, you must meet each of the following requirements:

Energy Crisis Assistance Program (ECAP) Open Enrollment will be ended on Friday, June 16th, 2017. Application can be completed online at www.okdhslive.org or over the phone at 405-487-LIVE (405-487-5483).
Must apply within the 72 hours cut-off window of your actual cut-off date. Must have a valid notice of when your energy is actual being cut off, had been shut off, is threatened to be shut off, or have a refusal notice to deliver additional fuel from utility provider. Or must have a set amount of deposit that is required by your utility provider for your account to be established.
ECAP/LIHEAP does not help to settle for old debt, final bill at old service address, or the portion of the bill that is required for your water, sewer, or trash service charge.
