Eligibility requirements for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are based on income, household size, available resources and responsibility for payment of home energy cost. Everyone who resides under the same utility service address must apply together. If you or anyone resides in your home are a Native American, you may apply for energy assistance through DHS or with your tribe, but you cannot receive assistance from both during the same Federal Fiscal Year.

DHS has stopped accepting LIHEAP Summer Cooling applications at midnight Friday, Sept. 11, 2020. If you have applied online at www.okdhslive.org prior to that date, you can check your application status by contacting your caseworker or your local county office.
