OHCA Delay of Payment 6/29
NOTICE: OHCA posted a bulletin communicating the following:
"OHCA will delay payment for the claims adjudicated the week of June 27, 2016. You will not receive a payment on June 29, 2016. The delayed payments will be made along with adjudicated claims incurred the following week on July 6, 2016. Please make arrangements to accommodate this change."
This event is not related to DHS's transition to a new EVV vendor.
If you have any questions please contact OHCA at (800) 522-0114.
As the EVV transition approaches, providers should continuously purge the Sandata system of all claims that have a pending status, although providers will have access to work in the system until June 30, 2016. The date previously posted (6/22/16), marks the date when DHS will stop sending new authorizations to Sandata and does not preclude providers working in the system until 6/30/16. Providers will 'call in' and 'call out' and continue processing claims through the Sandata system until this date.
Beginning 7/1/2016, all engagement with the Sandata system will end and providers will begin use of the new system. If provider staff attempts to call in or out of the Sandata system after 6/30/2016 they will hear a busy signal, indicating the telephony has been disconnected. Please remind all staff of this impending changes to the new EVV provider First Data (AuthentiCare), and that there will be a new toll free number to call.
