On behalf of the Partners Conference For Oklahoma Families together with the TANF Joint Conference we would like to invite you to participate in the annual conference to be held March 7-8, 2013 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center, 2501 Conference Drive, Norman, Okla. 73069.

We expect over 500 human service providers and workers from across the state to attend. The conference will highlight partnerships involving public and private agencies, non-profit groups, churches and schools. Come join us as we look at some of Oklahoma’s best examples of coordinating services and collaboration of resources.

Mission Statement

Provide a foundation for sharing, strengthening and stimulating partnerships across Oklahoma.

Background

In 1994, the Partners Conference had its beginnings with an idea arising from the OKDHS County Administrators Association -- the need to find solutions to problems using local resources.

No longer can any one agency be all things to all people and no longer can only one group meet the multiple needs of Oklahoma's diverse population.

New and innovative programs are vital to continue to serve Oklahoma citizens. The first Partners Conference was held in 1995 beginning the tradition of recognizing the best, community-based partnerships in the state of Oklahoma.

Every conference since that time has successfully fulfilled its mission; and, the conference has continually grown in professionalism and in size-----in some years reaching more than 600 participants.*

Included in the partnerships, are public entities, private companies and non-profit agencies, schools and communities. The conference showcases some of Oklahoma's best examples of coordinating services and collaborating resources.

The conference has become one of Oklahoma's premier conferences and as all partners -- past, present and future -- join forces differences will continue to be felt across Oklahoma and the nation.

*In 2002, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Conference for Time and Cost Efficiencies united with the Partners Conference.
