SNAP Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, include:
- Must be a United States citizen or legal alien;
- Must meet designated work requirements(Unemployed Adults, ages 18-50); Suspended 04/01/2009 through 09/30/2012.
- Must meet income standard(s). Households who do not have a person who is disabled or age 60 or older must first meet the gross income test. Persons who are disabled or age 60 or older must meet the net income standard
