Dear In-Home Supports Waiver Participant,

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services Developmental Disabilities Services Division (DDSD) has scheduled two more trainings for the In-Home Supports Waiver Self-Directed option. If you attended one of the trainings in May and June, you do not need to attend.

A registration sheet is attached. Seating is limited so you must pre-register for the training. The contact information is on the registration sheet.

There are some updates I would also like to pass along to you.

• If you are a spouse, parent, step-parent, brother or sister of the service recipient and you are being paid as the Habilitation Training Specialist (HTS), you will not be allowed to self-direct your SD-HTS services. You may continue to be paid as the HTS through an agency.
• The cost of background checks is now $15.00.
• The hourly wage you may pay your employee (SD-Habilitation Training Specialist) has also changed based on tax calculations. It is critical to use the chart attached to this letter.
