Dear Respite Services Provider:

RE: Rate increase

Effective August 16, 2006, the per diem rate for Respite Service - Close  (S5151 TF) will be increased to $40.00, and Respite Service – Maximum (S5151) will be increased to $50.00. New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for these procedure codes.  Please be advised that dates of service on claims should not span August 16, 2006.  Instead, claims for dates of service through August 15, 2006 should end on August 15, 2006 and new claims should be submitted for dates of service on or after August 16, 2006 in order for the appropriate rate to be paid.  Any billings submitted for services at the previous rate on or after the effective date of the increase will be paid at the lower rate.
