Dear Psychological Services Provider:

Re: Rate increase

Effective January 1, 2006, the following Psychological rates will be increased: Psychological Therapy Individual Services (H0004) to $20.73 per quarter hour, Psychological Screening Services (T1023) to $20.73 per quarter hour, and Psychological Group Services (90853) to $10.37 per quarter hour. New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for procedure codes H0004, T1023 and 90853.  Please update your billing process to reflect the rate increase for services provided on or after January 1, 2006.  Any billings submitted for services at the previous rate on or after the effective date of the increase will be paid at the lower rate.

For state funded Psychological Services (procedure codes H0004, T1023 and 90853), new service authorizations (“MC” numbers) will be issued at the new rate for services. Providers will be sent the new authorizations as soon as they are issued.
