Dear Nutrition Services Provider:

RE:  Rate change

Effective July 1, 2007, the rate for Nutrition Services has increased to $27.95 per unit for code 97802 and $24.98 per unit for code 97803. New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for procedure codes 97802 and 97803. Claims submitted for service provided on or after July 1, 2007 will pay at the new rate. Please update your billing process to reflect the rate change.   

For state funded Nutrition services, new service authorizations (“MC” numbers) will be issued at the new rate for currently authorized services. Providers will be sent the new authorizations as soon as they are issued.
