Re: Rate increase – Date Correction
Dear Nursing Services Provider:
DDSD issued a provider letter dated July 31, 2006 on the Licensed Skilled Nursing Services changes. There was a typo in the effective date of implementations. The effective date is August 2, 2006. Please use the corrected information below.
Effective August 2, 2006, DDSD Licensed Skilled Nursing Services will change as follows:
Description of Services:

Extended Duty Nursing Care (billing code T1000) a 15-minute unit at a rate of $6.06 per unit;

Intermittent Skilled Nursing Care (billing code T1001) replaces registered nursing services (previous billing code W4050). This service provides for intermittent skilled nursing tasks performed by either an LPN or an RN at the current rate of $47.20 per visit, limited to three visits per day.

New service of Individualized Skilled Nurse Training and Evaluation (new billing code G0154). This service provides for individualized evaluation or oversight of health care needs by a licensed nurse, and/or specific individualized health training by a licensed nurse to the service recipient, family or paid caregivers. This service is billed in 15-minute units at a rate of $13.50 per unit.
Initial training will be provided on the new nursing contract on August 28th, at the OU/DHS training center in Norman Ok, as shown on the attached letter.
