Dear Habilitation Training Specialists Provider:

RE: Rate increase

Effective August 16, 2006, the rate for Habilitation Training Specialists (HTS) will be increased to $3.63 per quarter hour ($14.52 per hour). New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for procedure code T2017.  Please update your billing processes to reflect the rate increase for services provided on or after August 16, 2006. Any billings submitted for services at the previous rate on or after the effective date of the increase will be paid at the lower rate.

For state funded HTS services (procedure code T2017 SE), new service authorizations (“MC” numbers) will be issued at the new rate for services. Providers will be sent the new authorizations as soon as they are issued.
