Dear Group Home Provider:

RE: Rate increase

Effective November 1, 2006, the rates for Group Homes (waiver procedure code T1020 and all state funded beds) will increase to the per diem rate appropriate to the facility size as follows:

Size  Rate   Size   Rate
  6 Beds -- $65.75      7 Beds -- $56.25
  8 Beds -- $49.25     9 Beds -- $45.00
10 Beds -- $41.50   11 Beds -- $38.75
12 Beds -- $36.50    Comm. Liv.     --       $121.50

New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will be issued for DDSD waiver services for this procedure code.  Providers should receive the new authorizations prior to November 1.   Please update your billing process to reflect the rate increase for services provided on or after November 1, 2006.  Any billings submitted for services at the previous rate on or after the effective date of the increase will be paid at the lower rate.

Change orders will be issued for state contracts to increase the not-to-exceed amounts to cover the rate increases.   Providers will receive contract amendments under separate cover.  Please complete the amendments and return to DDSD for processing.
