Dear Family Counseling Services Provider:

Re: Rate increase

Effective January 1, 2006, the following Family Counseling Individual rates will be increased: Family Counseling Individual without Client Services (90846) to $16.58 per quarter hour, and Family Counseling Individual with Client Services (90847) to $16.58 per quarter hour. New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for procedure codes 90846 and 90847.  Please update your billing process to reflect the rate increase for services provided on or after January 1, 2006.  Any billings submitted for services at the previous rate on or after the effective date of the increase will be paid at the lower rate.

For state funded Family Counseling Services (procedure codes 90846 and 90847), new service authorizations (“MC” numbers) will be issued at the new rate for services. Providers will be sent the new authorizations as soon as they are issued.
