Dear Audiology Services Provider:

Effective July 1, 2007, the rates for many audiology services changed.  The following service rates increased: 

HCPC Code                             New Rate
92506                                      $119.14 per visit
92552                                      $15.82 per visit
92553                                      $22.59 per visit
92555                                      $12.90 per visit
92557                                      $40.96 per visit
92579                                      $25.51 per visit
92582                                      $27.46 per visit

In addition, the following service rates decreased:

92507                                      $54.75 per visit
92556                                      $19.02 per visit
92567                                      $17.40 per visit
92568                                      $10.95 per visit
92587                                      $44.86 per visit
92626                                      $69.30 per visit
92627                                      $17.15 per visit

New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for the above mentioned codes. Claims submitted for service provided on or after July 1, 2007 will pay at the new rate. Please update your billing process to reflect the rate changes.

For state funded audiology services, new service authorizations (“MC” numbers) will be issued at the new rate for currently authorized services. Providers will be sent the new authorizations as soon as they are issued. Please contact the DDSD Provider Support Center should you require further information or assistance. The Support Center may be contacted as follows:
