Oklahoma Senior Corps Program
Senior Corps Program

The Aging Services Division (ASD), Contracts and Coalitions Unit staff monitor the Senior Corps (SC) program. The SC consists of the RSVP, the Foster Grandparent Program and Senior Companion Program. 

 

Volunteers are at least 55 years of age and meet established income guidelines. The volunteers serve public agencies and private nonprofit organizations.

Learn about the volunteer programs of the Senior Corps?
The three Senior Corps volunteer opportunities for older persons are: 

  • RSVP - matches persons 55 or older Oklahomans with local programs in their communities;
  • Foster Grandparent Program - Persons 60 and over provide valuable assistance to children with special needs in the public school system; 
  • Senior Companion Program - Volunteers 60 and over provide companionship to individuals confined to their homes or limited mobility can assist them with daily living tasks. This is not hands on personal care, but a friend to share their life or day with.
