The Practice and Policy Lecture Series has been developed to provide thought-provoking presentations on Oklahoma's emerging policy issues, trends and best practices. The series is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Office of Planning, Research and Statistics and the University of Oklahoma Center for Public Management with the goal of providing the best educational opportunities available in a forum that offers participants an opportunity to question, share and learn from each other.

All lectures are free and open to the public.

Captain Huff is currently the Investigations Division Commander at the Midwest City Police Department.  He is the Commander of the Detectives, Narcotics Unit and Crime Scene Investigators.  He is a 21 year veteran of the police department. Captain Huff is a former Under Cover Narcotic’s Investigator, Patrol Officer,  Supervisor and Detective.

Captain Huff is a Certified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), since 1996 and a DRE Instructor.  He is certified as an expert in Drug Recognition in the Oklahoma Courts. Captain Huff teaches Drug Recognition to police officers throughout the State of Oklahoma. 

He is a graduate of the DEA basic school and OBNDD basic school.  He has over 800 hours of continuing education in the field of Drug Recognition and Drug Identification and handling.
