The Practice and Policy Lecture Series has been developed to provide thought-provoking presentations on Oklahoma's emerging policy issues, trends and best practices. The series is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Office of Planning, Research and Statistics and the University of Oklahoma Center for Public Management with the goal of providing the best educational opportunities available in a forum that offers participants an opportunity to question, share and learn from each other.

All lectures are free and open to the public.

Ann Trudgeon is the Director of the Oklahoma Developmental Disabilities Council. She has spent her professional career with the Council, beginning as planning director in 1989.  She became the director of the Council in 1993. Ann has been appointed or elected to several boards and commissions, and currently serves on the Governor's Blue Ribbon Panel to address community-based services in Oklahoma.  She is the Board president of Court-Appointed Advocates for Vulnerable Adults in Oklahoma, and serves on the IDEA-B statewide advisory panel, the Legislatively-appointed Education Transition Task Force, ADRC Steering Committee, Oklahoma Respite Resource Network, and the Oklahoma Self-Advocacy Network.
