The Practice and Policy Lecture Series has been developed to provide thought-provoking presentations on Oklahoma's emerging policy issues, trends and best practices. The series is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Office of Planning, Research and Statistics and the University of Oklahoma Center for Public Management with the goal of providing the best educational opportunities available in a forum that offers participants an opportunity to question, share and learn from each other.

All lectures are free and open to the public.

Women's Leadership Conference for Women in Public Service

Catch the Vision: Passion, Pride and Professionalism.
Women in public service possess unique skills and offer outstanding contributions to Oklahoma. Through motivation and inspiration, these women will continue to develop our current and future female leaders.

Come and Catch the Vision at the 2009 Women’s Leadership Conference for Women in Public Service. Women interested in developing their leadership skills have an exclusive opportunity to learn from and network with Oklahoma’s renowned women leaders.

Through keynote addresses, panel Q&A, small group discussions, and high levels of interaction, participants will develop a personal strategic plan; learn strategies for leadership development; discuss reasons why women should consider leadership roles; identify the personal benefits of public service and explore how they can contribute to their state and community through careers and volunteer opportunities in public service.
