Practice and Policy Lecture Series Home

The Practice and Policy Lecture Series has been developed to provide thought-provoking presentations on Oklahoma's emerging policy issues, trends and best practices. The series is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Office of Planning, Research and Statistics and the University of Oklahoma Center for Public Management with the goal of providing the best educational opportunities available in a forum that offers participants an opportunity to question, share and learn from each other.

All lectures are free and open to the public.

Equipped with a new vision and commitment to the citizens of Oklahoma, OKDHS Director Ed Lake is ready to lead the agency in the honorable mission to help individuals and families in need help themselves lead safer, healthier, more independent and productive lives.   As the Oklahoma Department of Human Services moves forward with agency restructuring and organizational changes, Lake’s leadership will be pivotal.  Director Lake has been active since joining the OKDHS executive team in soliciting feedback from agency staff and community partners across the state.  Join Director Ed Lake as he plans to share some of the things he learned from a series of recent “listening sessions”.
