About the Speakers:
Larkin Warner is a Regents Professor Emeritus of Economics at Oklahoma State University. He has a Bachelor in Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. from Indiana University. He joined the faculty at Oklahoma State University in 1960. From 1974 to 1979, he was Director of the Economic Studies Division of the Kerr Foundation in Oklahoma City. He returned to the OSU faculty in 1979 and served until he retired in 1998.

From 1999 to 2001, Dr. Warner helped staff the citizens committee that developed Oklahoma City's MAPS for Kids initiative. He has assisted the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce in the analysis of the MAPS and other major central city investments. In 2005, he was inducted into the Oklahoma  Higher Education Hall of Fame.

Jean S. Warner is co-founder of the Oklahoma Women's Coalition, a statewide nonprofit organization organized in 2008 to advocate on behalf of Oklahoma women and girls at the state level. She served as the first OWC chair and now serves on the board and chairs the Leadership Development Committee.

Dr. Warner has a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in Political Science. She along with Norman Mayor Cindy Rosenthal, co-founded and ran Oklahoma's National Education for Women's Leadership program. Dr. Warner received the YWCA of Oklahoma City's Embrace Award in 2009, the Pioneer Woman Award from the Oklahoma Women's Coalition in 2010, and was named by the Journal Record as one of Fifty Women Making a Difference in Oklahoma in 2010.
