Karyne Jones, President and CEO The National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, Inc.

Karyne Jones is the president and chief executive officer of the National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, Inc., (NCBA) the only national organization solely devoted to making minority aging services a national priority. Jones  leads NCBA in its efforts to deliver fair and affordable housing, employment services, and healthcare intervention programs for low-income African Americans and other minority seniors. She also targets new business, partnerships, and other opportunities to ensure organization’s commitment toward minority aging.

Previously, Karyne served as the legislative aide to Congressman Andrew Young.  Jones served for eight years in the Texas Legislature representing District 120 in San Antonio. As vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, she was a member of the Mexican-American Legislative Caucus. She also served on the Appropriations, State-Federal Relations, Corrections and Urban Affairs committees. Prior to her political career, she served two terms on the East Central Independent School District school board of trustees.

Jones has a bachelor's degree in political science from Clark Atlanta University. She holds a masters degree in public affairs from Northern Illinois University. She received a second masters degree in public policy and administration from Harvard University.
