Aging Oklahoma and State Policy
Dr. Marie Bernard will discuss the recently published report titled, “Retooling for an Aging America: Building the Health Care Workforce” from the Institute of Medicine’s Committee on the Future Health Care Workforce for Older Americans. Bernard served on the committee and will present issues from the report pertinent nationally and within Oklahoma.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Marie Bernard serves as the professor and chair of the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatric Medicine and the director of the Oklahoma Geriatric Education Center.
Bernard received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Temple Hospital was the site of her residency training and she served on the faculty in general internal medicine while there. At the VA Medical Center, Bernard is the associate chief of staff for geriatrics and extended care. She is board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics and holds the endowed Donald W. Reynolds Chair of Geriatric Medicine.
