The Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) acts as an advocate for the children of Oklahoma to ensure their financial and medical support. Taxpayers bear the cost of supporting Oklahoma's children when parents fail to contribute to their support. When children do not receive support, they suffer emotionally and physically, have a lower standard of living, lack basic needs and often become non-supportive as adult parents. CSED helps families break the cycle of poverty. CSED also helps keep families who are not receiving public assistance free of state aid. By keeping families economically stable, CSED lowers the tax burden on all Oklahomans.

Programs within CSED include:

Financial Institution Data Match
FIDM is a centralized, automated computer system that allows child support to reach accounts of delinquent parents that in the past had been unreachable.

Lottery Intercept
Any child support case past due $50 or more is sent to the Oklahoma Lottery Commission to be matched against lottery prize winnings. Upon a match, the Oklahoma Lottery Commission contacts Child Support Enforcement. The money can then be intercepted to pay past due child support.

New Hire Reporting
The New Hire Reporting program requires employers to report newly hired employees to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. These records are matched against child support records to establish child support orders or enforce existing orders.

Tax Intercept Program
The Tax Intercept Program captures and applies federal and state income tax refunds toward cases that are at least $500 past due.
