Data Services Division
The Data Services Division delivers technology solutions for all program areas, administrative areas, customers and employees of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS). DSD researches, designs, develops, acquires, implements, maintains and enhances information technology solutions for the realization of OKDHS' service, productivity and efficiency goals.
Finance Division
The Finance Division provides fiscal support and promotes fiscal integrity to all divisions and programs within the Department. These services include accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budget, fund and account management and cost allocation. The division is also responsible for budget balancing and revenue enhancement.
Human Resources Management Division
The Human Resources Management Division supports the recruitment, retention and training of the agency's statewide workforce. The division targets HR service delivery through the following units and workgroups: Employee Relations, Classification and Compensation, Human Resources Information Systems, Employment Services, HR Operations and Benefit Services.
Legal Division
The Legal Division consists of the Office of the General Counsel, Appeals Unit and the Office of Administrative Hearings: Child Support, the third largest court system in the state, which issues more than 35,000 child support orders annually. Fourteen attorneys make up the Office of General Counsel. They provide legal representation in both federal and state court, and issue legal opinions and support to all agency programs.
Office for Civil Rights
The Office for Civil Rights monitors compliance with federal and state laws that prohibit discrimination in employee practices, as well as client and vendor services. The office is also responsible for employee and client requests for reasonable accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
Office of Client Advocacy
The Office of Client Advocacy (OCA) provides advocacy assistance, conducts investigations and administers grievance programs to promote client safety and independence and the delivery of the Department's services and programs in a fair, honest and professional manner.
Office of Communications
The Office of Communications conveys information about the programs, services, operations and actions of OKDHS. OKDHS Communications' ultimate role is "Communicating a Clearer Vision of Human Services."
Office of Information and Referral
The Office of Information and Referral supports Director Hendrick by responding to inquiries from clients, foster parents and external customers. Staff has general overall knowledge of agency programs and operations and has identified contact people for specific information within programs.
Office of Inspector General
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) assures fiscal and ethical responsibility of public resources while striving to protect the quality and integrity of OKDHS programs and services. OIG performs quality control reviews, fraud investigations and audits.
Office of Legislative Relations and Special Projects
The Office of Legislative Relations and Special Projects serves as the liaison between OKDHS and the state legislature, liaison to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, agency staff representative for the Governor's Workforce and Economic Development Council, chairperson of OKDHS' rate setting committee and staff for the Human Services Cabinet.
Office of Planning, Policy and Research
The Office of Planning, Policy, and Research provides planning, policy, research and statistical support to all program and administrative areas of OKDHS. OPPR promotes the growth and development of strategic planning, ensures the orderly development and maintenance of OKDHS policy and provides support for data-driven decisions.
Office Support Services Division
The Office Support Services Division supports OKDHS offices statewide. Services include construction, architecture and engineering, real property management, contracts and purchasing, commodity distribution, safety and risk management. Logistical services include ordering, warehousing and distribution of supplies and equipment, mail processing and distribution, publishing, printing and copying, air travel and assets and records management.
Office of Volunteerism
OKDHS uses volunteers to support staff and resource development. The agency-wide program provides coordination across division lines, unified administrative and support functions, flexibility by means of generic policies and procedures, an agency volunteer director and a governing board whose membership is composed of volunteer program supervisors and other management personnel from participating divisions.
