4-1 Child Welfare Court Case Records   (Confidential Record  10 O.S. § 7005-1.1 et. seq.)
Description: File includes copies of juvenile court pleadings, and pleadings for divorce, guardianship and adjudication cases, child welfare records, subpoenas, and orders for child welfare records. File may also contain correspondence, copies of electronic mail, fax transmissions and attorney notes. The office of record is County Office, Schedule 82-37, Series 2-26.
Volume: seven (7) cubic feet per year
Disposition: Retain in office two (2) years, then transfer to records storage. Retain in records storage until two (2) years after the child’s eighteenth (18) birthday, then destroy, provided no legal actions are pending, and approval to destroy records has been received from the State Records Administrator. If legal action is pending, destroy two (2) years after exhaustion of all legal remedies, provided records meet all stipulated retention requirements, and approval to destroy records has been received from the State Records Administrator.
