4-1A Correspondence (Administration) 
Description:  Files consist of Office of Inspector General Administrator’s, and other person’s, acting in the role of administration, incoming and copies of outgoing correspondence.
Disposition: Retain in office and review on an annual basis. Destroy duplicate and ancillary materials when no longer required for administrative purposes. Destroy substantive materials provided: (a) they are five (5) years old, (b) no longer required for administrative purposes, (c) no legal actions are pending, and (d) approval to destroy records has been received from the State Records Administrator. If legal action is pending, destroy two (2) years after exhaustion of all legal remedies provided records meet all stipulated retention requirements, and approval to destroy records has been received from the State Records Administrator.
