340:75-18-7. Minimizing use of restrictive procedures
|

Issued 5-7-01

The use of restrictive procedures, including seclusion and physical, mechanical, and emergency chemical restraint by providers is reviewed on a monthly basis by the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) unit to assess trends over time and to minimize occurrence.  CQI staff consult with providers to evaluate factors contributing to increased usage and to secure commitments to address these issues.
