340:75-12-8. Resident mail and phone communication

(a) Group homes provide residents with writing materials and postage.  Resident mail is not opened unless there is a suspicion of contraband.  If the resident's mail is opened the resident is informed in advance and is present when the mail is opened.  The action is documented.  [OAC 340:110-3-154.1(a)(3)(G)]

(b) Each group home has written procedures for resident use of the telephone for uncensored personal phone calls.  [OAC 340:110-3-154.1(a)(3)(F)]
