The Child Welfare Comprehensive Training Program (CWCTP) is a system that provides inservice training to Child Welfare (CW) staff through standardized competency-based curricula. This system is designed to provide basic and specialized child welfare knowledge and skills and is one of several sources from which staff can obtain job related training. In addition, the system provides basic skills related to computerized information management which are necessary to support casework activities. The CWCTP consists of the New Child Welfare Worker Development Plan and specialized training for experienced CW workers and supervisors and DCFS programs staff.
