An overpayment is any payment made by the Department to a vendor or client to which the recipient was not entitled.  When an overpayment is made to a vendor providing care for a client receiving services, such as, foster care or child care, the  CW worker is responsible for verifying the overpayment and taking the appropriate action.  • 1
