     Oklahoma Child Support Services (OCSS) manages and disposes of records according to Oklahoma Statutes as interpreted in OKDHS:2-21-50 through OKDHS:2‑21-66.  Per OAC 340:25-5-55, OCSS maintains all records for cases closed under Section 303.11 of Title 45 of the Code of Federal Regulations for a minimum of three years.  • 1

1.  Child support staff do not destroy Oklahoma Child Support Services closed case records unless the records meet the criteria for destruction in the OKDHS Records Management Handbook, Section 1-7.  The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) Office Support Services Division (OSSD) annually posts to the OSSD InfoNet a list of records eligible for immediate destruction.  Child support staff:

(1) access the list of records eligible for immediate destruction at http://s99web01/adss_supportservices/openrecords.shtm;

(2) follow the Child Support Manual, Volume 10 – Case Management, Case File Destruction chapter for a checklist and other information on identifying physical cases that meet the case destruction criteria; and

(3) access the Child Support Manual on the OCSS InfoNet Home Page.
