In order to be eligible for payment of the full range of medical services through SoonerCare, an individual must be either a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence for a period greater than five years from the date of entry or otherwise permanently residing in the United States under color of law. Legalized aliens may receive emergency medical services and pregnancy-related services. Illegal aliens may receive only emergency medical services, which includes emergency labor and delivery.
