OKDHS Application for Employment Has Been Revised

If you're applying for a position at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, please note that some changes have been made to the employment application.

Ed Sweeney, HR manager for the OKDHS employment services unit, announced that the previous version of application form, Form 11E012E (formerly known as the P-12) will be accepted for job applications until 5 p.m., Sept. 30, 2009.  After Sept. 30, only the revised version will be accepted.

Sweeney explained that one of the primary reasons applications are rejected is because an outdated application form is submitted. This usually occurs when an applicant who has not applied recently updates a previously used application form they have saved on their computer and then submits it without checking to see if it is the form is still current.

Applications received before 5 p.m., Sep. 30 that use the older version will receive a notice explaining that the form has been revised. This notice will be for information purposes only and will not require the applicant to resubmit the application on the current form.

Sweeney encouraged outside applicants and current OKDHS employees to use the link for the application form found in each job announcement on the Internet site, http:www.okdhs.org by selecting Careers and then Job Announcements.  Current OKDHS employees may find this site more convenient to access than through the Employee Self Service option on the Infonet.

Questions regarding the job announcements or application form should be referred to the employment services unit at (405) 521-3613 or by e-mail to jobs@okdhs.org.
