The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) announces Daphne Mosley has been named Executive Assistant to the Director. Previously she served as Commission Secretary, beginning her career with OKDHS in December, 2011.
Mosley has an extensive background, and began her career at the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) in 1992, most recently serving at OSDE as Executive Assistant to the State Superintendent.
“I am honored to serve as Executive Assistant to Director Lake and this agency,” Mosley said. “In the past year I have been blessed to meet and work with some amazing and caring individuals at OKDHS.
“I look forward to working with Director Lake and the leadership team to bring a new perception of respect to the agency and the individuals who work here. To be able to show the citizens of Oklahoma we do care and we are working tirelessly to provide the very best care for our children and vulnerable adults.
“I have an adult son with a developmental disability and I know first-hand how parents struggle to care for these individuals, and the Developmental Disabilities Services Division of OKDHS has helped me tremendously,” she said.
Mosley assumed her new position December 6, 2012.
