Thomas Honored by East Central University

During East Central University’s Centennial Awards Recognition Luncheon, one of OKDHS’ own was recognized as a distinguished alumnus. Linda Thomas, a 32-year veteran with the Department, received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Social Work from ECU’s Director of Social Work Program, Dr. Carol Bridges.


Thomas said, “Being recognized by the faculty and staff of the East Central University Human Resources Department is an honor.”


Thomas is a programs manager I and supervises the Swift Adoption metro area staff in Area III. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1977 and was one of the first graduates from ECU’s social work welfare program.
