OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Grand Gateway Area Agency on Aging was recently given the Achievement in Aging, 2012 Aging Network Partner of the Year award.
Grand Gateway AAA was recognized for its achievements, including implementing innovative and successful partnerships. Some of its initiatives include the Northeast Oklahoma Women’s Conference, Northeast Oklahoma Caregivers Coalition with Native American tribal partners, and the Medicare Part D Diabetes Health Screening Initiative.
Kay Carter, Grand Gateway AAA director, accepted the award which was presented by OKDHS Aging Services Division Director Lance Robertson at the 37th Annual Oklahoma Conference on Aging in Norman.
“We appreciate Grand Gateway AAA’s work to improve the lives of older Oklahomans and their families in Northeast Oklahoma. We congratulate and thank Grand Gateway AAA for its contributions,” said Robertson.
