Ritz to Discuss Public Sector Leadership

OKLAHOMA CAPITOL – Lindy Ritz, director, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center will open a dialog on the challenges of directing a large public sector organization at noon, Sept. 2 in the Chesapeake Room of the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive, Oklahoma City.

 

Ritz will discuss using competitive practices and private sector principles in the public sector. Ritz is responsible for the centralized service and support facility for the Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Transportation; home to more than 7,000 federal and contract employees with an operational budget of $1.2 billion annually.


All lectures are sponsored by Oklahoma Department of Human Services Office of Planning, Research and Statistics and University of Oklahoma Center for Public Management. In addition, this lecture is sponsored by OKDHS Human Resources Management Division. This yearlong series provides thought-provoking presentations by experts in their fields on Oklahoma’s emerging policy issues, trends and best practices. The lectures are free and open to the public. Lunch is now available for purchase at the Oklahoma History Center.
