OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services was recently honored by the Central Oklahoma chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators with two Bronze Quill Awards of Excellence for the 2009 OKDHS Annual Report. OKDHS received top awards in the publications and design categories.

The annual report is a collaboration of the Office of Planning, Research and Statistics, Office of Communications and Design Services. Team members for the 2009 edition included Connie Schlittler, Millie Carpenter and Loretta Cao, OPRS; Mary Leaver and Lauri Monetti, Communications; Beth Scott, Children and Family Services Division (formerly of Communications); and David Kim, Caroline Miller, Kyle Chaufty and Katherine Leidy, Design Services.

Kim also received a Bronze Quill Award from IABC for his publication design work.

Bronze Quill is an annual awards program that recognizes achievements in overall communications programs, electronic and digital communication, social media, writing, print communication, design, and illustration and photography.
