Community-Based Sex Offender Management Forum Held in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma Capitol — “What Works and Doesn’t Work in Community-Based Sex Offender Management?” is the focus of the Oklahoma City  Prisoner Reentry Initiatives (PRI) Educational and Networking Forum on April 9.  PRI is hosted by the Oklahoma Partnership for Successful Reentry, Inc. (www.okreentry.org) and the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives to provide training opportunities for organizations that serve the prison population pre- and post-release.

The management of sex offenders will be addressed from legislative, law enforcement and therapeutic perspectives by representatives from the Department of Corrections, CURE-Sort, Oklahoma Coalition for Sex Offender Management, Oklahoma Alliance Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse, New Name Ministries (Texas), and New Foundations, Inc.   The forum will be held at Crossings Community Center (Old Wal-Mart Building), 2208 W. Hefner Road from 9a.m. to 4p.m. and includes lunch. A registration fee of $20 must be paid in advance.  For more information visit www.faithlinksok.org
