Governor's Disability Employment Awards Ceremony Postponed

OKLAHOMA CITY---Due to the ice storm and continued power outages, the Governor's annual event to honor persons with disabilities and employers of persons with disabilities has been postponed.

Gov. Brad Henry was to honor recipients at the annual Disability Employment Awards ceremony on Dec. 13 at the Governor's Mansion Pavilion. The awards are co-sponsored by state organizations that support people with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment. They are the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Developmental Disabilities Services Division; the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services, the Oklahoma Association of Persons in Supported Employment and the Office of Handicapped Concerns.

The event will be rescheduled at a later date.
