OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- STAR Touring and Riding Association Chapter 162 and Feed The Children have teamed up to distribute food and personal care items to 400 families at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Oklahoma County 55H Human Services Center Saturday, Sept. 15.

The event kicks off at the Clarion Oklahoma City Airport Hotel at noon with STAR members leading a motorcycle parade that will end at the OKDHS office, 7201 N.W. 10th St., where the items will be distributed at 1 p.m.

“This is such an exciting opportunity to ensure families who need support have enough to eat for at least a week,” said Jeri Poplin, county director, OKDHS Oklahoma County 55H Human Services Center. “We really appreciate the incredible work of STAR Touring and Feed The Children.”

Feed The Children, as international hunger relief organization based in Oklahoma City, will provide boxes filled with grains, vegetables, fruit and juice, to families identified by OKDHS as needing assistance. Families will be given vouchers to claim their supplies. Feed The Children Kid’s Stuff School Boxes will also be distributed at the event.

STAR Touring and Riding Association, an international family motorcycle riding organization, will help distribute the boxes.
