First Time in State History
Family to Adopt 4 At Oklahoma Department of Human Services Commission Meeting July 24

OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- The Oklahoma Commission for Human Services will serve as witnesses as four girls, ages 7, 8, 10 and 13, become the daughters of Steven and Maylene Sorrels July 24. Judge Richard Kirby will preside over the first public adoption held at a Human Services Commission meeting.

Taylor, Nicole, Gabby and Breanna will join the 6 Sorrels siblings.

The Commission meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services meeting room located in the basement of the Sequoyah Memorial Building, 2400 N. Lincoln Blvd. Photo opportunities and interviews are available for this one-time event.
