Ross Maupin to Oversee Kingfisher/Blaine Counties

OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- Ross Maupin, a 26-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS), and director of the OKDHS office in Kingfisher County, will now pull double-duty when he takes over administration of the OKDHS office in Blaine County.

"Ross is an exceptional person with years of experience serving the people of northwestern Oklahoma," said Brenda Hawkins, OKDHS Area I Director. "He will do a great job leading the Blaine County staff as they continue to provide quality services."

Maupin began his OKDHS career as a Social Worker before serving as a Social Services Supervisor in Garfield County. He was later named Director of the OKDHS office in Kingfisher County.

"I’m looking forward to the challenge of covering two counties," said Maupin. "Having worked in Kingfisher County for many years, I’m familiar with our neighbors in Blaine County and I will work hard to continue the high standards of service that they are accustomed to."

Maupin graduated from Enid High School and earned a bachelor’s from Oklahoma City University.

Maupin has served as President of the Enid Civitan Club. He is currently Treasurer of the Horn Of Plenty Food Bank and an active member of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Maupin’s wife, Kathleen, serves as an Advocate for the OKDHS Office of Client Advocacy. They have three grown children: Matt, a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, Marley, an American Government teacher in Charleston, S.C. and Allison, a First Lieutenant and pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
