Wells Named New Johnston County Director

OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- Lynn Wells, an 18-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, has been named Director of the OKDHS Johnston County office in Tishomingo.

"We are very happy that Lynn was selected to be the Johnston County Director," said Alice Foran, OKDHS Area IV Director. "We are anxious to have her join our team here in Southeastern Oklahoma."

Wells began her career with OKDHS as a social worker in Pushmataha County. She then worked in Osage County before being promoted to Social Services Supervisor in Washington County.

"My primary focus is to maintain an environment that fosters teamwork," said Wells. "I’m looking forward to becoming a part of the Johnston County OKDHS family and becoming an active member of the community."

Wells is a graduate of Antlers High School and earned Bachelors degrees in both Business Administration and Sociology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant.

Wells has two children, Sean, 22 and Melissa, 19, both students at the University of Oklahoma.
