Outcomes Report: Next Steps
Next Steps

Most existing reporting mechanisms were designed to track OCSS performance in terms of outputs, not necessarily changes in the lives of external customers. Thus information across all outcomes is somewhat limited.

Work on measuring OCSS outcomes continues. After the identification of OCSS desired outcomes during the 2008-2012 strategic planning process, outcomes indicators were identified to help gauge progress toward achieving those outcomes. The process of selecting indicators involves determining the method of collection for the data, who will do the collecting, and how often the data would be collected.

The Office of Planning, Evaluation and Learning in the Center for Planning and Development is spearheading the process of creating new tracking mechanisms and making changes to existing ones, to ensure the most relevant information is used in future evaluations.

Upcoming outcome measurement activities include:

  • Additional external customer satisfaction surveys;
  • OCSS staff job satisfaction surveys;
  • Development of a process to assess outcomes with our partners within OKDHS and beyond;
  • Feedback evaluations for state office centers;
  • Better use of the OCSS OSIS Universe Reports;
  • Enhancement of the OKDHS Learning Management System for tracking training and staff development outcomes;
  • Increase documentation and dissemination of outcome result among all stakeholders; and
  • Expand collaboration with the OKDHS Outcome Measurement Workgroup who are making strides toward measuring outcomes for the entire OKDHS.
