The Licensing Records Office (LRO) is managed by Oklahoma Child Care Services.
Effective Nov. 1, 2008, changes to the Oklahoma Child Care Facilities Licensing Act require a facility's owner, director or primary caregiver to submit a completed form (07LC096E) criminal background review to the OCCS Licensing Records Office (LRO) for completion of a criminal history investigation prior to employment or operating a new childcare facility.
Personnel assigned to the Licensing Records Office are responsible for the evaluation of criminal history reports from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), docket searches for counties not participating in the Oklahoma Court Information System, out-of-state background reviews, district attorneys, court clerks and local law enforcement.
Information attained is independently evaluated to determine if the individual is prohibited from employment or residing in the child care facility.
