The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) Aging Services Division (ASD) has teamed with First Data to start a new program, an Interactive Voice Response Authentication (IVRA) program. First Data has developed a system specifically designed for Oklahoma and will be known as OK AuthentiCare. This new cutting-edge telephone and Web technology system will assist ADvantage and the State Plan Personal Care providers in streamlining their business, reducing dependence on manual paper processes and providing real-time access to information needed for member services management. OK AuthentiCare is an electronic scheduling, tracking, reporting and billing system for in-home care providers. Claims are generated automatically by phone calls to the OK AuthentiCare toll-free phone number from the member’s home. OK AuthentiCare verifies that the worker is present in the member’s home, records the services performed and compares it to services authorized. A claim is generated when a valid check-in and check-out are completed. When the claim is confirmed by the provider using the Web, it is sent to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) for adjudication. OK AuthentiCare also generates standard reports that are available to each provider. 2010 will prove to have many advances in technology for OKDHS and ASD and the members the providers serve.
