Laura Giblin, M.A., Senior Researcher for the Office of Planning, Research and Statistics, joined OKDHS in April 2011. She earned a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and is currently completing the requirements for a PhD from University of Oklahoma. Laura previously worked as an Investigator for Oklahoma Indigent Defense System and as a Research Program Coordinator for a local research firm. She also taught Sociology courses at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to coming to DHS, her research efforts primarily focused on criminological and familial issues within the field of Sociology. In her current position, Laura’s research focuses on childcare, child welfare, and child well-being issues. Her expertise includes survey development, survey implementation, data analysis and interviewing.
