The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) paints a great picture! We have reached new frontiers now that more Oklahoma families are participating in the spectrum of services we offer. We are proud to affirm that a record number of Oklahomans were certified through the Medicaid program, more authorized adoptions are finalized every year and more child support is being collected than ever before. These are just a few examples of our accomplishments.
The network of services we provide come together like a work of art, and the OKDHS employees are the artists. We will continue to provide services and support to the people of Oklahoma with the best tools available. Thanks to MOSAIC, a large scale enterprise project, we have the opportunity to build upon and improve our craft and our services to Oklahomans.
The term '"mosaic" evokes images of many uniquely shaped pieces that are fused together to form a complete, and often complex, work of art. The MOSAIC project will provide newer tools and application systems along with a masterpiece of better business processes. MOSAIC will combine the efforts of all OKDHS divisions, resulting in a simple and unified system.
What does the MOSAIC project mean for OKDHS staff?
We will have new and improved tools to work with. Our existing systems will be replaced with innovative applications that are easier to use and maintain, and more efficiently support our business processes. Our tools and resources will be enhanced to simplify procedures and automate decision making, allowing staff to spend more time directly assisting OKDHS clients. Overall, integrating OKDHS business processes will provide consistency and improve information sharing across our programs and with our partners.
What does the MOSAIC project mean for our community?
New technology will improve reporting capabilities, decision-making, client access to eligible services, and identification of clients across all program areas. A unified approach will be used for client services, providing our clients with access to all eligible resources and services available, giving them the tools to paint a brighter future.
Initially, the MOSAIC project will include Child Support, Child Welfare, Family Support, and Field Operations. The purpose of the MOSAIC project is to strengthen availability, delivery, and functionality by integrating all OKDHS services to create positive outcomes for Oklahomans.
